Thanksgiving

We spent our first Thanksgiving in Las Vegas by ourselves. The hope of finally being with family after years of school and residency was crushed. A new practice is underway and no one is around to cover Randy's patients. We made the best of it and really had a fun day and loved being together as a family.

Maryn and Mom went to the grocery store to buy the feast food. We came home with a 12 pound turkey since Smith's was sold out of turkey breast and I was not going to another store at 10pm Thanksgiving Eve. We will enjoy the leftovers. Being just us, we changed things up a bit with our choice of menu; Butternut squash (Mason's favorite vegetable), fresh green beans (Maryn's favorite vegetable), turkey -no gravy, mashed potatoes with rosemary (Mom's favorite), sausage stuffing (Dad's favorite) and rolls.

Maryn loved helping mom cook and was by her side the whole time
Mason wanted part of the action too and made those potatoes mashed

Mason also wanted to dab in a little hairstyling while dinner was cooking. He put every bow Maryn wanted in her hair. I love their relationship and how much they love each other

Mason wanted to make a "cow pie". The name intrigued him and wanted to know what it tastes like. He had a great time making it and eating it.
