Mason's a CUBBY?

Randy and I decided to have Mason play in the Mountain Ridge Baseball League this fall. He has done really well with two last teams he has been on. So well we are having him play with 6 & 7 year olds. Yes, he is 5, but we wanted him learn more about the sport he loves, and challenge him.  

We never thought Mason would be so excited to be a CUB. He has Cardinal blood flowing though his veins, at least we thought!  The moment he found out he was playing for the Cubs he was spilling out The Major League Cub's best player and batter.

It is so fun to watch him play. Especially with all the other big kids. They are huge compared to him, but he loves it. He did have a hard time when they called him out the first time. He was so disappointed he couldn't run the bases for his home run like he did in t-ball/coach pitch. He was tagged and called out. He was very upset, almost ready to go home, until we told him that he was in the big leagues now. That got his attention and he was ready to finish the game. That's my slugger!!
